The 2026 APWA Eric B. Pethtel Memorial Collegiate Scholarship Golf Outing was a great success, bringing together public works professionals, community partners, sponsors, and supporters for a memorable day dedicated to honoring Eric’s legacy and supporting future students.
Held this spring at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Indianapolis, the outing once again highlighted the strong sense of community and generosity within APWA. We were honored to have Eric’s family join us at the start of the outing to share a few words and help kick off the day, providing a meaningful reminder of the impact Eric had on so many throughout the public works profession.
Thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and donors, this year’s outing was one of our most successful yet, raising important funds for the Eric B. Pethtel Memorial Collegiate Scholarship Program. These scholarships continue to help deserving students pursue higher education and future careers in public works and related fields.
